Title idea from Uncertain Principles.
I came across this hilarious parody (spoilers!) of Deathly Hallows today at Gibberish in Neutral (also courtesy of Uncertain Principles). For the record, I finished the book yesterday and enjoyed it for the most part.

One of the ScienceBloggers (I don’t remember which one) linked to a picture from lolcats.com yesterday. Check it out, there are some great pictures there.

Between the two of us, Kari and I now have every home system (plus a couple of the handhelds) from what is apparently known as the sixth generation of video game consoles! I got a Playstation 2 today at a yard sale for $75. It came with two controllers, three games, and two memory cards; not a bad deal I think.
The Dreamcast came out in 1998 so check back with me in about a decade and maybe I’ll have the current generation of consoles!
Now if you’ll please excuse me, I’m going to spend the rest of my life in front of the TV!

Phil Plait reviews Transformers July 5, 2007

Bad Astronomer Phil Plait reviews the science in Transformers. My favorite quote from the review:
Just once I’d like to see some car get hit by a shrink ray, and when it becomes matchbox size it suddenly falls through the surface of the Earth because its density goes up to several tons per cubic inch. That would be really cool. And funny.
I’ll probably see the movie this weekend.

Jason Felton is a homo sapien in his mid-20s observed to be living in west Michigan. Observations suggest that he spends way too much time on the internet reading blogs, researching family trees, and keeping track of current events in science and politics. Other interests of his include atheism, electronics, religion, and history, among many other things.
